Janice was born March 20th, 1934 in Roopville, Georgia the daughter of E. J. Hughey and Lettie Mosley. She met her husband of 59 years, Joseph W. Sullivan, while he was stationed at Fort Benning, GA. They soon moved to Rhode Island to begin a family eventually moving to Camarillo in 1973.
While in Camarillo she worked for many years at Pleasant Valley Hospital and a local orthopedic surgeon's office. She enjoyed short getaways with Joseph to Santa Ynez and Laughlin as well as visiting with her neighbors, thrift stores, crafting, and watching golf with the family.
She is survived by her four children Patricia, Pamela and her husband Mike Briney, Jim, Jerry and his wife Allie; grandchildren Joshua, Christopher, Eric, Sean, Michael, Brian and Mitchell and her niece Sheilah as well as many other nieces, nephews and extended family.
A private ceremony will be held at Conejo Valley Memorial Park. A gathering will be held at her home on Saturday, June 17th from 12:30 to 3:00 for family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate her life.
