Annette V. Carlson, age 84, of Littlefork, Minn., died Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, at Littlefork Care Center.
She was born Sept. 12, 1919, at Clarkfield, Minn. She resided at Karlstad, Minn., and Holma, Minn., before settling in Wisner, Minn., where she began school. She then moved with her family to Littlefork at the age of nine.
The former Annette Hegdahl was united in marriage to Axel Erick Carlson on March 7, 1942.
Primarily a homemaker and mother, Annette worked at Littlefork Medical Center as a nurses aide and later in the laundry department.
She taught Sunday School to the seven- and eight-year-olds for over 30 years at Littlefork Baptist Church.
She was very proud of her job working at the hospital with Dr. Hanover. She also did housework for Dr. Hanover as well as take care of his children, Russell and Helen.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Oscar and Hulda Ulrika (Lindquist) Hegdahl; sisters, Dorothy Shuhart, Beulah Walberg, Marie Wetherell and Carolyn Carlson.
She is survived by sons, Vern Carlson of Littlefork and Roger (Bev) Carlson of Isanti, Minn.; daughters, Sharon Kennedy of Littlefork and Virginia (Peter) Katzung of Woodbury, Minn.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Andrew (Lois) Hegdahl; brothers-in-law, Oscar Carlson and Jerry Wetherell; numerous nieces and nephews and special supportive friends.
Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Littlefork Baptist Church.
Interment will be at Oakley Cemetery, Littlefork.
Arrangements are with Green-Larsen Mortuary Inc., International Falls.
