Christine Olson Martin
1955 ~ 2017

Christine Olson Martin of Orem, Utah passed away June 13, 2017 surrounded by her loving family following a brief battle with cancer.

Christine was born July 4, 1955 to Gerald Leo and Marilyn Day Olson in Tucson, Arizona.

She was raised in Midvale, Utah and graduated with honors from Hillcrest High School.

She went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from Brigham Young University where she received a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Elementary Education.

Christine also earned a minor in music and was an accomplished pianist.

Christine always aspired to follow in her Grandma Mimi's footsteps and become a teacher.

She achieved her lifelong goal and taught school at Brockbank Elementary in Nebo School District. Following retirement, she continued to volunteer in schools and at the library.

She truly loved to brighten the lives of children.

"Aunt Tina" adored her nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed showering them with thoughtful gifts and attention.

"Chris" also loved spending time with her many friends traveling, working out at Curves, going to lunch, or whatever fun activity they could arrange.

Throughout Christine's illness she was so grateful for the outpouring of love and concern shown to her by these many kind and caring friends and family members.

Christine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in many callings, very often sharing her musical talents, and also serving as a Temple worker.

Her kind heart and generous spirit were also demonstrated by her regular support of many various charities.

We would like to sincerely express our gratitude to the wonderful compassionate health care workers who have provided loving care and comfort to Christine. God bless you all!
