BAXTER, Florence Mae (DeMerchant) Florence Mae (DeMerchant) Baxter, 74, of Rockville and wife of the late, Alfred Baxter, passed away Saturday, (October 15, 2005) at Vernon Manor in Vernon. She was born May 29, 1931 in Manchester to the late, Lee and Lillian DeMerchant. She resided in Rockville and Vernon most of her life. Florence leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Dawn Baxter of Rockville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pennie and Richard Hill of Vernon and Lona Demers of Meriden; four sisters, Bertha Doody, Mary Greene and Edith Kornor all from Venice, FL and Vera DeMerchant of Brooklyn, CT; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
