Irene”Rene” Mae (Lima) Offley, 73, of Taunton, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at Massachusetts General Hospital. She was the wife of Warren L. Offley.
Irene was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Louis and Julia (Alves) Lima. Rene worked at the Paul Dever State School as an attendant for many years, retiring in 1987. Mrs. Offley was one of longest living member of the Antioch Church, in Taunton. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Survivors besides her husband are four daughters: Roxanne M. Smith and her husband Everett of Rumford, Anita M. Coehlo and her husband Victor of Fall River; Jodi A. Baptiste and her husband Domingo of Malden; Kymberly M. Offley of Florida; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; five sisters: Vivian Paulo of Taunton; Eleanor Monterio of East Providence; Lois Martinez and her husband Albert of Taunton; Sharon Texeira of Taunton; Patricia Bean and husband Alan of Berkley; four brothers: Ronald Vieira and wife Sharon of FL; Richard Lima of FL; William Lima of Taunton; Thomas Lima and his wife Joan of Taunton; along with many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marie Andrade, Elizabeth Paulo, William Pina, Annie Enos, Mary Garcia, Bernice Jordan, John Vieira and Louis Lima Jr.
Calling hours will be held in the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton.
Her Funeral Service will be held at the Antioch Church, 159 Winthrop Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial to follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton MA.
