McSpadden, Connie R. "Little," 89, died June 13. Graveside services 10 a.m. Saturday, Oaklawn Cemetery (DeArman, Sulphur).
Connie Ruth McSpadden, a resident of Shreveport was born December 24, 1927 in Roff, Oklahoma to Frank & Itura (Mitchell) Little, the youngest of 11 children.
She passed away Tuesday June 13, 2017 at Bossier City, Louisiana at the age of 89 years 5 months and 19 days.
She was married to Bert H. McSpadden at Sulphur on December 25, 1945. She grew up in Roff and Sulphur and attended school at Hickory.
Connie later attended ECU in Ada where she received her BA in Human Resources, getting her degree when she was 56 years old. She had lived in Sulphur from 1973 to 1985.
After the death of her husband Bert, she moved to Louisiana. Connie worked at the Library in Shreveport and Bossier City, until her retirement at age 73.
She loved to dance. She was a member of the Lutheran faith
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Michael McSpadden, 10 brothers and sisters.
Survived by
Daughter & son-in-law: Theresa Breedlove & Robert of Shreveport, LA;
Son & daughter-in-law: Hubert McSpadden & Helen of San Diego, CA
6 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Services will be held Saturday June 17, 2017 at 10:00AM
Graveside at Oaklawn Cemetery officiated by Rev. Bill Leveridge
Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery Sulphur, OK
under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home of Sulphur, OK
