In his earlier years, Leon became a member of True Holy Church, the House of Prayer for all People under the leadership of the late Bishop S. L. Henry.
Leon joined the United States Army in 1952, where he served four years. He later became a professional truck driver for the City of Dayton, retiring after 35 years.
Leon rededicated his life to the Lord in 2015 and attended Ephphatha New Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Ronald A. Hoard. As an avid gardener, he sent his first fruits to the church each year.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Sarah Holt Greene; sister, Cara Johnson, brothers, Marvin Holt, Willie Holt; nephew, Darrell Booker; and niece, Lakeisha Holt.
Leon will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Doris Lula Holt. He leaves to cherish his memories children, Rita Martin, James Holman, Deborah Coleman (John), Leone Harris (Zack) and Lisa Patterson; honorary son, Robert Stephens; honorary daughter, Anita Brunson; brothers, David (Lila) and John (Loretta) Holt; sisters, Marcie, Anne, Loretta and Emma; three foster children, 17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
