Ronald “Ronnie” Alvin Massey of Wilburton, Oklahoma died Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Wilburton at the age of 70. Ronnie was born in Antlers, Oklahoma to Claude Massey and Edith (Holiday) Massey on January 8, 1947. Ronnie grew up in Antlers. He worked many jobs and hobbies during his lifetime including, funeral home, body mechanic and painting, race car driving, and woodworking. He married Toye Rose in 1983 and made Wilburton their home. His career was law enforcement from the early 1980’s and from 1991 to 1995 as the Wilburton Chief of Police. In 1995, Ronnie was elected as the Wilburton Street Commissioner and was currently serving his term. Ronnie was a friend to all. The Funeral Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the Wilburton High School Auditorium with Rev. Willard Francis officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Wilburton.
