Doris L. (Berger) Schwartz, 92, of Olney, died at 6:55 AM, Monday, June 30th, 2014 at Burgin Manor in Olney.
Visitation will be from 10 AM - 11 AM on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2014 in the chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM with Reverend Steve Wingert officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont, Illinois.
Doris was born on January 4th, 1922, in Noble, the daughter of Frank and Mildred (Bruner) Berger. She later married Ralph M. Schwartz on September 20th, 1941 in Richland County, Illinois. He preceded her in death.
She worked at the International Shoe Factory in Olney and worked as a home health nurse and was a housewife. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Olney. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Doris is survived by her son Gary Wayne Schwartz, and his wife Cheryl of Jasper, Indiana; two daughters, Beverly Ann Hicks, and her husband Jim of Olney and Barbara Jo Thomas, and her husband Greg of Olney; brother Paul M. Berger, and his wife Mary of Morganton, Georgia; sister-in-law Beulah Brummer; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Mildred Berger, husband Ralph Schwartz, and great-granddaughter Kelsie Kline.
