Randall L. Robbins, 65, passed away on June 13, 2017, at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

He was born in Des Moines on June 7, 1952, to Albert and Velma Robbins.

Randy graduated from East High School in 1970 and attended college at Drake University and DeVry University.

He proudly served his country for over 20 years in the Air National Guard in both Iowa and Arizona.

Randy was employed as a special agent for the US Department of Customs and the US Department of Commerce, retiring in December of 2007.

Music was a great passion of Randy's. He loved playing the bass guitar at church and in a band with his friends. He enjoyed playing the mandolin and was learning to play the fiddle.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Lesley Robbins; sister, Sheryl Terpening; niece, Sharalee Terpening; and aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Bethany New Life Christian Fellowship, 3565 NE 56th Street, Altoona. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines. The family will receive visitors Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., at the church.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Bethany New Life Debt Reduction Fund, in loving memory of Randy.
