Bailey “Pat” Forrester, age 87, of Aurora, MO, passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Mt. Vernon. He was born December 13, 1929, in Marionville, MO, the son of the late Bailey & Rachel {Patterson} Forrester.

Pat attended the Marionville schools before his family moved to Springfield, MO and he graduated from Central High School. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served for five years during the Korean War. He worked on aircrafts, and this became one of his hobbies and he obtained his pilot license. After returning from service, he worked at Colonial Baking, in Springfield, MO, for several years. He also was a salesman and later in his life, he owned an animal food plant in Ash Grove, MO. He worked at Cuddy Farms in Aurora and was an avid golfer.
He attended the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora.

Pat married Linda Couch and she preceded him in death in 1991. On September 30, 1995, he married Ardell Spooner in Aurora.

Survived by his wife of 21 years, Ardell; two stepsons, Tim Spooner of Springfield, MO and Scott Spooner and his wife, Shannon, of Aurora and three step granddaughters.

Pat’s parents, Bailey and Rachel, his first wife, Linda and brother, Royal Forrester, who was killed during World War II, preceded him in death.

Graveside services were on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. A celebration of Pat’s life followed the graveside service at the First Presbyterian Church in Aurora.

Memorial donations may be made payable to First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, in care of the funeral home.
