Randolph G. Martin, (Shorty), 80, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, August 18, 1997 in a local hospital.

He was a member of the First Church of God, Vinton and a former proprietor of Garden City Texaco.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia Buck Martin; a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Rev. Lewis Fender, Fries, Va.; brothers an d sisters-in-law, Samuel and Odessa Martin, Lambert and Virginia Martin, Earl and Mary Martin, Louise Martin Holdren, all of Bedford; two special sisters-in-law, Polly B. East and Phyllis B. Bowdel, both of Roanoke; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 20,1997, with the Rev. Carl V. Woody officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
