Mrs. Sylvia Jean Hall Faircloth, 78 of 1315 Hitching Post Road, Roseboro, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, June 16, at Halls United Methodist Church, 4621 Minnie-Hall Road, Autryville, with Reverend Christi Christianson officiating. Interment will follow at the Church Cemetery.

She was born April 24, 1939 in Sampson County and is preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Jolly and Wilma Autry Jolly Holland; first husband, Elwin Hall; and son, Michael Hall. She was a member of Halls United Methodist Church, and retired as a Teacher from Sampson County Public Schools and then Sampson Community College.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar L. Faircloth; daughter, Sandra Hall of Chapel Hill; and brother, Harold Jolly of Durham.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Friday prior to the service, and other times at the home.

Services are by Butler Funeral Home of Roseboro.
