Obituary for Geneva Martin

Geneva E. Martin, 19 years young, departed this life far too soon, on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at her home.

She was born on March 31, 1998, in Carlisle, the daughter of George K. Martin and Cindy L. Adams Martin.

Geneva loved art and was extremely artistic. She spent countless hours drawing and writing. Always very kind and caring, Geneva would be the one to try and make everyone else smile. She was also very sincere and when Geneva asked how you were doing or gave you a hug, you would know that she meant it.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by four brothers, Matthew G. Martin of Shippensburg, Nathaniel P. Martin of Roxbury, Jonathan M. Martin of Carlisle, and Robert A. Martin of Roxbury; niece, Willow A. Martin; nephew, Gabriel M. Downey; four aunts; four uncles; and many cousins and friends.

Geneva was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, George P. and Geneva L. Martin; and one aunt.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg. Interment will be private and occur at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to help defray her funeral expenses.
