Norma Joyce Bailey Sexton of Corinth was born in Owenton, Ketucky on October 23, 1938 and passed away at St. Elizabeth Grant County in Williamstown, Kentucky on January 16, 2017 at the age of 78. She was the daughter of the late Harold E and Faustina Connie Peters Bailey.
On December 5, 1958, Joyce was united in marriage with Roy Stanton Sexton. In addition to her loving husband of 58 years, she is survived by her daughter Tena Louise Sexton Francis of Las Vegas, Neveda; her son, Richard Stanton Sexton and his wife, Debby of Corinth; her sisters: Patricia Adams of Berry and Jaqueline Lay of Ecuador; her brother: Donald Bailey of Lexington; her grandchildren: Bobby Sexton and Cassie Francis.
A homemaker, Mrs. Sexton was a longtime member of the Corinth Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher and G.A.Leader. She was also a member of the Layton's Chapel Ladies Aide and loved cooking, taking walks and sewing, mostly quilts. But the activity that she loved the most wa playing with her grandchildren.
