Obituaries

Jim A. Cooper

Jim A. Cooper passed away Oct. 7 at his home in Willows. He was 68.
He was born Aug. 17, 1924, in Willows.
Mr. Cooper had been an area auctioneer for 30 years and a veteran of World War II, serving as a medic in the U.S. Army. He saw services at the Battle of the Bulge and Omaha Beach.
He is survived by two sons, Scott Cooper of Willows and David Cooper of Chico; one sister, Loleta Minard of Roseville. Mr. Cooper is also survived by his ex-wife, Dolores Cooper of Willows and a close companion, Mary Flanders of Willows.
Mr. Cooper was a member of the Willows Eagles Lodge, Moose Lodge and a Mason and a Shriner.
Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. in the F.D. Sweet and Son Chapel in Willows.
Interment will follow at the Chrome Cemetery. Rev. Michael Bryan will officiate.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. -
