He is survived by his parents, Donald and Reva Underwood of Bedford; brother, Thomas (Becky) Underwood of Indianapolis; two sisters, Carol (Eric) Schulz of Bedford and Jill Underwood of Bedford; four nephews; three great-nephews; and one great-niece.
The family has requested for private services for Joseph. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.
