He was the son of the late Steve Fox, Sr., and his wife Alice Lee McLean Fox. He was preceded in death by his wife, Reverend Doris Thompson Fox; sister, Loretta Fox; and brother Jesse Roy Fox who died May 8, 1980. He was survived by one son, Mark Fox (Sonja); two daughters, Stephanie Fox McNeill and Katrina Fox; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Fox (Rosa); and a sister, Catherine Foxx. He was a Cub Scout leader and a volunteer for the Lemon Springs Fire Department and retired from the City of Sanford.
