Louise Marie Wood of Rockford, Michigan and North Port, Florida, age 80, passed away on May 17, 2017. She was born to Lyle and Faye (Calkins) Wood on January 4, 1937, in Rockford, MI. Louise enjoyed shopping, traveling, attending festivals, and playing cards. Louise is survived by her brother Melvin (Beverly) Wood; sister-in-law Nancy Wood, nieces and nephews Deb Napieralski, Renee (Bob) English, Doug Wood, Kim (Mike) Kornoelje, Maurice (Karline) Wood, Patty (Doug) Culp, Amy (Lonnie) Maurer, David (Wendy) Wood, Joni Heimbecker, and Susan (Larry) Snyder, many great nieces and nephews, special friend Betty Hyde, and Fran O’Connor. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers Maurice (Karen) Wood and Donald Wood. There will be a time of memorial visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe Street NE, Rockford, MI 49341. The memorial service for Louise will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. following visitation. Fr. Tony Russo will be presiding.
