LAPORTE - Thomas M. Luther, 75, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Franciscan Communities in Michigan City.

Thomas was born in La Porte, IN, on December 16, 1941, to Alvin “Pete” and Vivian (McCorkle) Luther.

On September 5, 1964, in Norwalk, CT, he married Marlyn (Nesline) Luther, who survives. Also surviving are his beloved children, Kevin (Amy) Luther of New Carlisle, Kimberly (Marc) Christiano of La Porte; grandchildren, Emily Luther, Drew (Pamela) Luther, Caleb Luther, Benjamin Luther, Megan Jerndt, Meghan Pointon; and brother, Peter “Mike” Luther of La Porte. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Thomas served honorably as a Radioman 3rd Class in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Maple City Lions Club, the American Legion, and he delivered Meals on Wheels for 20 years . He enjoyed woodworking, and was a lifelong Chicago White Sox fan. Tom was also a proud father and grandfather who loved his children and grandchildren deeply.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM (CST) on Friday, June 16, 2017. at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 -7 PM (CST) on Thursday, June 15, 2017. and from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
