Alice Joann Butler, 84, passed away June 10, 2017, in Waxahachie, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Boze-Mitchell-Mckibbin Funeral Home. Services will be at 4 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2017, in the Boze-Mitchell-Mckibbin Chapel. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery.

Alice was born in Venus, Texas, to the late Arry Chursey Woodard and Maggie Lee (Henson) Woodard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Abram Butler; brothers, Billy Woodard and Junior Woodard; and sisters: Leona Griggs, Mavis Lawson, and Patsy Eastwood.

Survivors include her children: Timmy Stanton and Ronnie Stanton, of Red Oak, Cathy Stephens, Karen Coulombe and her husband, Robert, and Pam Regan, all of Waxahachie; grandchildren: Cole Stanton and his wife, Shelby, Chris Stephens, Jennifer Brooks and her husband, Tony, Jeffrey Prowell and his wife, Stephanie, Robert "Bubba" Prowell, Scotty Regan, Hailey Regan, and Arrie Regan; great-grandchildren: Bowen Stanton, Barrett Stanton, Bennett Stanton, Brooke Stephens, Savanah Stephens, Austin Stephens, Kaige Brooks, Dustin Brooks, Jax Brooks, and Timothy Keith Prowell; stepson, Don Butler and his wife, Peggy; step-grandson, Jeremy Butler; step-granddaughter, Stephanie Dupre; sister, Bobby Sue Manor; many other relatives and extended family, and friends.
