July 12, 1928 - June 13, 2017 Chester Bailey Jr., age 88, of Vancleve, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at the Wolfe County Health and Rehabilation Center in Campton, Kentucky.
Chester was born on July 12, 1928 to the late Burnie and Mary Nola (Fergerson) Bailey. He was a retired automotive repair shop employee.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, loving wife, Nadine Taulbee Bailey of Vancleve, Kentucky; one daughter, Brenda (Larry) Neely of Campton, Kentucky; two sons, Doug Bailey of Campton, Kentucky; and Dean (Connie) Bailey of Altro, Kentucky; two sisters, Wilma Jean Walters of Grassy Creek, Kentucky; and Betty Sue Bates of Burkhart, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; one stepdaughter, Brenda Pelfrey of Dayton, Ohio; three stepsons, Jerry (Beverly) Taulbee of Paris, Kentucky; Leonard (Tammy) Spencer of Middletown, Ohio; and Linville (Charlene) Spencer of Vancleve, Kentucky; a host of nieces and nephews; and many other loving relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Burnie and Mary Nola Bailey, Chester was preceded in death by son, Donnie Joe Bailey; daughter, Debbie Smith; brothers, Randolf Bailey, Rex Bailey, and Kenneth Bailey.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Watts Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson, Kentucky at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 with Pastor John Bunn officiating. Chester will be laid to rest in the Bailey Cemetery at Morgan County. Friends may visit the funeral home after 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017.
