Metter -Thelma Barnes Holloway 87 of Metter died suddenly on Saturday Feb. 10 2007. She lived most of her life in Savannah where she retired from M&M supermarkets was a past member of Burkhalter Baptist Church in Savannah and was a member of New Life Baptist Church. She loved fishing and attended gospel sings with her younger sister Bobbie Jean. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Millard Holloway. Survivors- sons and daughter in laws Lamar and Pam Holloway of Metter, Billy and Linda Holloway of Savannah, daughter and son in law Brenda and Steve Starling of Metter, brothers Ralph Barnes and John E. Barnes of Savannah, sisters Cuba Nell Turner of Meldrim, Claudine Westberry of Swancee South Carolina ,Edna Mongin of Rincon, and Bobbie Jean Waters of Metter, grandchildren Lance Holloway, Slade Holloway, Stacy McCranie, Christopher Starling all of Metter and Trent Holloway and Chace Holloway of Savannah and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Morgan Family Funeral Home with visitation to be held Monday 5:00-7:00.
