Lula Pearl Thompson, 89, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Long Meadow Nursing Home in Justin, Texas. She was born in Tioga, Texas on December 13, 1927, to Thomas Riley McGuire and Bertha Jewel (Kays) McGuire. She married Loyd D. Thompson who preceded her in death in 1980. She was of the Baptist Faith. A past member of Central Baptist Church in Gainesville and presently a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Dallas.

Funeral Service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Lake Dallas with Rev. Lucas Pinkard officiating with interment at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville, Texas. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville.

Survivors include her 2 sons, Tommy Thompson & wife Evelyn of Lake Dallas and Howard Thompson of Fort Worth; brother, James McGuire of Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren, Kimberly Thompson, Brad Thompson and Bridget Hedrick; 6 great grandchildren, Zack & Justin Thompson, Cheyenne, Sidney, Draben Cofield and Joey Sewell; 1 great-great grandchild Lyza Loya.; several Nieces and Nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Lula Pearl was preceded in death by one son, Gary Thompson; one brother and one sister.
