Charlotte C. French, 102 of Middlefield passed away Saturday May 27, 2017 at Blossom Hill Care Center. She was born Oct. 9, 1914 in Cleveland to the late Charles W. and Nellie (Steinhauer) Ortman. She attended St. Frances of Assisi Catholic School. Charlotte married her husband of 46 years, Wilfred A. French on April 4, 1934 in Cleveland. She enjoyed ceramic painting, punch embroidery, reading mystery and romance.
Charlotte will be sadly missed by her daughters, Kathy (Sam) Krouse of Delaware, Elizabeth (Phill) Anderson of Oregon, son, James French of Santa Rosa, Calif., 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, seven great- great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred A. French, son Paul R. French, daughter, Natalie C. Loze, two brothers, one sister, one grandchild and one great grandchild. The Family would like to thank Butch and Helen Grennan, and their dog Scooter, who visited her regularly at the nursing home.
