She leaves behind her husband of 32 years Ken Horne, daughter Heather Danielle Horne, son Matthew Allen Horne, loving parents Charles and Imogene Eberhart of Adamsburg, AL., sisters Renae Darr (Doug) and Gwen McClendon (Trey), sisters-in-law Glenda McGrady (Ron) and Phyllis Mitchell (Thomas), nieces Shelly Butorac (John), Christina Tomlin (Bill), and Holli O’Kelley (Sean), nephews Russell Mitchell (Jessica), Kevin Mitchell (Emily), Charles Darr, and John McClendon.
Donna graduated Jacksonville State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She employed her nursing skills with compassion serving at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL, and Baptist Hospital, Pensacola, FL, before serving at Sacred Heart Cardiac Rehabilitation Center for the last 24 years.
Donna’s hobbies included gardening, cooking, and oil painting.
She volunteered at First Baptist Church in Pensacola working with children for many years. She also served at the Health and Hope Clinic, and held a special compassion for foster children which she acted on by serving with the Royal Family Kids Camp Organization through First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be held 2:30pm until a Funeral Service to begin at 3:00pm Friday, June 16, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3801 North Gault Avenue, Fort Payne, AL with the Honorable Shaunathan Bell presiding. Burial will follow in the Adamsburg Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jerry Baker, Jerald Baker, John Eberhart, John Hardman, Ron McGrady, and Chris Studdard.
