Miriam Quick Nelson, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 98, of Huntsville, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday. She was the daughter of Nora Mason and William Massey Quick. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Nils Nelson, she is survived by daughters, Debbie Nelson Gutierrez (Oscar), Karen Nelson Dice (Ric) and Dianne Nilsen Zirato (Jeb), nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A native of Huntsville, Miriam graduated from Huntsville High School, became a devoted Airforce wife, and resettled in Huntsville after twenty-seven years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, the Pilot Club, and the Garden Club. A joy to all who knew her, she will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00 with Rev. Mark Seanor officiating.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to a favorite charity
