Jacob Timothy Coleman, 23, a life-long resident of Sikeston, died at his home Jan. 22, 2017.

He was born Jan. 29, 1993 in Cape Girardeau to Michael D. and Tammy L. (Johnson) Coleman who survive of the home.

Jacob was a member of Canalou Baptist Church, had attended Kenny Rogers Childrens Center and was a graduate of New Dawn State School; he loved music and horses. In addition to his parents he is survived by one brother, Tanner Coleman of the home; his paternal grandparents, Dewayne and Shirley Coleman of Sikeston, his maternal grandparents, Ronnie and Janet Johnson of Sikeston; aunts and uncles: Richy (Jennie Malerich) Johnson, Aaron (Beth) Johnson, Sandy (Steve) Kerr, and Amy (Tony) Blaylock all of Sikeston and Tony (Penny) Coleman of Jackson and Charity (Matt) VanAmburg of Farmington. Also surviving are his caregiver, Chrissy McKinney and several cousins.

Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5 until 8 pm, Tuesday. Funeral services will be in the chapel Wednesday at 10:30 am with his grandfather Rev. Dewayne Coleman and his uncle Rev. Amos Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Blodgett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Austin Kerr, Drew Coleman,, Hunter Johnson, Conner Johnson, Justin Johnson, Levi Johnson, Darren Roper and Luke VanAmburg.
