Wandalene attended the Tilly Missionary Baptist Church. She was a hardworking, industrious woman who enjoyed working in her garden, canning the fruits of her labors and quilting. She spent her working years working with the Area Agency on Aging as an aide. She also enjoyed visiting with her neighbors and friends and talking on the phone, especially with her sisters. The joy of her life was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Spending time with them was the highlight of her day.
On Sunday, June 30, 1963, Wandalene was saved. In that same service, she came forth as a candidate for baptism and joined the Tilly Missionary Baptist Church.
On July 20, 1963, Baptismal services were held at Archie Creek, and Wandalene and more were baptized. Bro. Lester Passmore was pastor at that time, and he conducted the Baptismal service.
