Sheila Marie Bennett, 59, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017. She was born August 8, 1957 in Jacksonville, FL where she lived all of her life. Sheila was a graduate of Victory Christian Academy class of 1975, a graduate with a Bachelor’s degree of University of FL class of 1979 and a teacher for Duval County School Board. She was a member of Garden City United Methodist Church, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, friend and will be dearly missed by all. Sheila was predeceased by her husband of 21 years, Rudlin Edward Bennett; father, Thomas Russell Kight. Survivors include her sons, Benjamin Bennett (Brooke) and Rudlin Bennett; mother, Joyce Kight Millington (Charlie); brother, Glenn Kight (Darlene); grandson, Brantley Bennett; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7 at 12pm in the chapel of Cedar Bay Funeral Home, 405 New Berlin Rd 32218, with Rev. Simone Fouraker officiating. There will be no interment service.
