Stanley Stuart Bassett Sr. returned to his Heavenly Father on June 11, 2017. Stanley was born on October 5, 1937 to Ray Stuart and Martha Elizabeth Miers Bassett. He graduated from high school at the Riverside, California School for the Deaf.

He married Faith Elizabeth Warner on January 26, 1962, later solemnized in the Manti Temple, on June 26, 1975. They were blessed with three children, Stanley Jr., Elizabeth, and Jeffrey. He was a dedicated father, hard worker, and loving grandfather who loved to play and tease all the grandchildren.

Stanley faithfully devoted many years of his life in service to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He is survived by his wife, Faith; his three children, Stanley (Michelle), Elizabeth (Terry), and Jeffrey (Rose); and his 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; as well as his only brother Jim (Maria).

The family would like to thank the staff at the Mountain Ridge Assisted Living Center for their care and concern.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Ogden Deaf Branch, 5640 South 850 East. Friends may visit with family on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, Stanley has requested donations go to an account for his great granddaughter, Kennedy Burton, at any Wells Fargo Bank under the Kennedy Burton account.
