Roger Clark Christensen, 78, of Soda Springs, passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017.

Roger was born on October 27, 1938 in Downey, Idaho, the son of Milo and Nellie Rex Christiansen Christensen. He was raised in Downey, where he graduated from Downey High School in 1957. He also lived in Salt Lake City, UT briefly until drafted into the U.S. Army and lived in Fort Sill, OK from 1961 through 1962.

He returned to Pocatello, ID for another brief stay, then relocated to Soda Springs, ID in 1963 to present.

He married Marilyn Tew, on June 17, 1960 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Roger was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed collecting old classic cars and restoring them and also camping and tinkering in his shop.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn T. Christensen; son, Darin H (Annie) Christensen, of Magna, UT, daughter Dawn (D. Curtis) Farnes, of Soda Springs; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Kirt Christensen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers: Richard Christensen and Marvin Christensen.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 15 at Noon at the Soda Springs 1st Ward Chapel (361 South 3rd East). The family will visit with friends Thursday morning from 10-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
