Katherine was born September 13, 1920, near Gotebo, Okla., to Wilburn and Evalena (Files) Sheets and was the third oldest of ten children. She graduated Roosevelt Okla., High School in 1940. After high school she was employed during World War II as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Douglas Aircraft in Oklahoma City. Katherine married O.T. Cragar Jr. on November 10, 1945, in Oklahoma City. She moved to Wichita Falls in 1970 from Hobart, Okla., and was a long time member of Lamar Baptist Church. Her hobbies and interests were crochet projects, playing 42, cooking, and homemaking.
She was preceded in death by O.T. Cragar, Jr., in 1996; her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Katherine is survived by one daughter, Kay Wilson and husband Wallace of McKinney, Texas; grandson Lee Wilson of College Station, Texas; two sons, Ray Cragar and wife Charlotte of Philippi, W. Va.; and Ralph Cragar and wife Tracy of Wichita Falls; one sister, Lois Jane Faulk of Crowley, La.; two brothers, Bobby Sheets of Hobart, Okla., and L. D. Sheets of Azle, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the Rathgeber Hospitality House located at 1615 Twelfth Street, Wichita Falls, Texas 76301.
