Melissa Ann May passed away June 5, 2017 unexpectedly at the age of 35. She was born April 10, 1982 in Toledo to Budd & Sharon (Brockman) May, Jr.. Melissa grew up in the country and rarely a day went by that she wasn’t bringing us some little live creature to the backdoor cupped in her little hands. Her greatest interest was conservation of the environment. Melissa belonged to Green Peace long before what it is today. Her passion for wildlife and the environment was a passion of hers form the time she could walk & talk. She shared this with everyone trying to get as many people as she could involve with protecting planet earth.

Melissa is preceded in death by her father Budd May, Jr. and Uncle Ed May. She is survived by her children Grant, Maxwell, Sebastian and Abigail; mother Sharon May; significant other Nick Morizen; siblings Jason, Tara, Samantha and Joe; and special friend Dannielle Redd; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Melissa, you were very special, growing up you had an unstoppable energy. You wanted to see and do everything at once. You were determined that you alone would save the planet. That was who you were. The joy and love you showed towards everyone and everything was contagious. You taught us all so many things, courage, strength and bravery. You fought a hard fight for a long time, until you could fight no more. Melissa when you died you took a piece of all of us with you. You will always be loved in our hearts and memories until we see you again,

Family will receive friends Friday June 16th after 6:30 PM at the Castillo Funeral Home 1757 Tremainsville Rd. where a Celebration of Melissa’s Life will be held at 7 PM.
