MAN DROPS DEAD ON WAY TO MAKE CHRISTMAS CALL
Percy Coon Suffers Fatal Heart Seizure While Walking with Daughter

Percy Lee Coon, 55, 252 Sullivan Street, dropped dead yesterday morning at 9:20 o'clock as he walked along McKinley Avenue, accompanied by his daughter, Miss Violet Tinley, of Michigan City. The two were en route to the home of a relative for a Christmas call when Mr. Coon suffered a fatal heart attack.

After crossing the Pennsylvania railroad tracks on McKinley Avenue, Mr. Coon suddenly fell to the sidewalk. Bystanders aided the daughter in calling an ambulance and the stricken man was hurried to the Clinton County Hospital.

Attendants at the hospital said the man was dead when admitted.

Mr. Coon was born at Newtown December 10, 1885. He was married to Myrtle Sears on April 9, 1918. Survivors are the widow, a son, Omer Coon, of Kankakee, IL, the adopted daughter; a sister, Mrs. Lillis Frazler of Terre Haute and several nieces and nephews.
