Melinda “Cindy” Bauer Gentry passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013, at her home after a long illness. She was born on April 13, 1967, to Velma Groves Kleeman, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and the late Clarence Bauer.
Cindy is also survived by: her parents Diana (Roby) Cooper and Douglas Kleeman; her loving husband, Lowell (Mole) Gentry; a daughter, Lola V. Gentry, of Maysville; her step-children, Donovan Dugan, Lacey Jane Gentry (Shawn Herrmann, fiancé), of Ripley, and Mistie Dawn (Bill) Gray, of Maysville; step-grandchildren, Calleigh Gray, Harrison Gray, Sheridon Witt and Anna Herrmann; two sisters, Violet (Clay) Hedgecock and Lois (Danny) Wheeler; two nieces, Amber Green, of Richmond, and Mercedes Hedgecock, of Germantown; two great-nephews, Elijah Green and Anderson Green; a great-niece, Maggie B. Green; a special sister, Carrie Fizer Smalley; and grandmother, Mamaw Maynard. Cindy was preceded in death by: grand- parents, Lovell and Violet Groves, Augustus and Edith Bauer and Mildred Loper.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Olivet United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Olivet Cemetery, with Rev. Marilyn Roades officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at Palmer Funeral Home, in Germantown. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope or St. Patrick School.
