Born and raised in the Salt Lake area, he is survived by wife of 32 years and high school sweetheart Barbara, sons Austin and Cade, as well as brothers Lonny (Lee) Goetz and Scott (Roseanne) Ortar. He was preceded in death by parents Stan and Donna Ortar, and siblings Jerry and Marsha Goetz.
Don had a lifelong career in stone masonry; his work can be seen all over the valley. His passions included hunting, fishing, and spending time at the family cabin, as well as the Utah Jazz and Classic Rock.
Funeral services held Wednesday, May 31, at 2 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery.
