Rickey Norman Jones, age 56, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband of Dee Voigt Jones and son of Alice Sue Tinnell Jones-Pitts and the late James Walter Jones, entered into rest at the Medical College of Charleston, S.C. on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Jenna Jones; a son Brett Jones; and four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Mike (Andrea), Gary (Kelli), Jeff (Susan) and Terry Jones all of Aiken, S.C.

He was born in Greenville, S.C. but has spent most of his adult life in Aiken County, S.C. He worked as a Supervisor in Automotive Maintenance for Aiken County for 38 dedicated years.

His family stated that he really like to travel and go camping. He also enjoyed all sports and was an avid NASCAR fan. He was a great example of a “Good Samaritan” as he would help anybody who needed help; he just enjoyed staying busy. He also loved playing Jeopardy; but above all these things, he loved his family and friends with all of his heart.

A man of his caliber shall be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives that he has touched during the 56 years that God has granted him on this earth; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his friends and loved ones.

A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Monday, January 4, 2016 at 4:00 PM with Rev. Clint D. Jackson officiating.

The interment will be in the Historic Graniteville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 190 Knox Abbott Dr., Cayce, S.C. 29033, Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 30, Jacksonville, Florida 32256 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 100, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN. 38101-9908.
