Freddie D. Patterson, age 88, of Gary, In passed away June 3, 2017. He was born June 12th, 1927 in Tunica, Mississippi . Freddie was well known by many, not just his family, but as "Paw Paw" or "Mr. Patterson". Freddie is preceded in death by his parents; Harvey Patterson, Mary Lee Teague, his stepmother Ada Mae Patterson. Brothers; W.B. Patterson, Sam Williams, Russell Williams and James Williams. Sisters; Bessie Gauldin and Jinnie Pearl Tippett. Children; Gilbert Patterson, Sylvia Patterson and Deloris Buchanan and his wives Ruth Patterson and Kathy and granddaughter, Barbette Bolden. Freddie is survived by his children; Jeanne Gordon, Trudy Pickett; Sheila Harris, Frederick Patterson, Deborah Patterson, Jaketa Patterson; David Patterson; Barbara (Bruce), and Pasty Ann Buchanan. His favorite cousins; Annie Dotson and Jeridean Whittington and a host of relatives, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Services are Wednesday, June 14, 2017.
