Emma was born February 1, 1923, in Carrollton, Missouri, the daughter of Samuel L. and Pearl M. Wilson. She was a home health caregiver. Emma raised her children on her own and loved her family unconditionally. She would always provide for others before herself.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Russell “Morris” and Roy Wilson; and five sisters: Freda, Leta, Annie, Nadine, and Mary.
Her survivors include five children: Mike Nicholson (Chris) of Liberty, MO, Ida Mae Bellew of Independence, MO, Angela Blancas of Independence, Jim Childress of Independence, and David Childress of Grain Valley, MO; one sister, Chicky Washam of Odessa; one brother, Bob Wilson of Gladstone; eighteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
