Eva Joyce Price Ervin, age 88 of Metairie, Louisiana passed away June 9, 2017. She was born in Lynchburg, Tennessee to the late Richard E. Hinkle and Frankie Silvertooth Hinkle. Mrs. Price retired as postmaster from the Lynchburg Post Office and was a member of the Lynchburg First United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Lynchburg Historical Society. She loved to go fishing and was an avid birdwatcher. Mrs. Price had a heart of gold and loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Hinkle, Mary Fern Bryant, Frank Elmore Hinkle and Emma Joslyn Thomas; husbands, William Fred Price and Max Ervin. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Price (Matthew) McQueen and grandchildren, Trevor Price McQueen, Jonathan Graham McQueen and William Chase McQueen. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Friday, June 16, 2017 at Jennings Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 am Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Jennings Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Jim Parks officiating. Interment will follow at Lynchburg Cemetery with Joel Sanders, Matt McQueen, Trevor McQueen, Graham McQueen, Will McQueen, and Jimmy Hinkle serving as pallbearers.
