Marlene Shields Feurer returned peacefully to her heavenly father on April 27th, 2017, while in her home, surrounded by family and in the arms of her adoring husband. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT on September 20th, 1952 to Vaughn and Myrle Shields. Marlene was the youngest of three children; she was raised in Murray, UT. She married her husband, Ralph Arthur Feurer, on August 16th, 1979. Together, they raised Shawn, Lindsey, Ryan, and Megan. Marlene was known to everyone as a loving bundle of energy. She brought light and love to all that knew her. Her friends and family were very important to her and she was happiest when spending time with them. She was an amazing daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandma, and friend. Marlene's greatest joy was being a mom and grandma. She chose to spend her life loving and raising her family. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with them every minute she could. She loved the little things in life and could find joy in something as simple as a soda. Marlene had an infectious love for life and was a true "kid at heart". She was an avid lover of all things Disney and Disneyland was her second home. Bouncing through her beloved land of magic and make believe with her sweetheart and family brought her great happiness. Although we are sad for her to leave us being so young, we are at peace knowing she is free and has returned to her loving parents. We would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Leigh Thompson for her loving care. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, children, seven grandchildren, and her sister, Joane (Darrell) Gile.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday May 6th, 2017 at the Lifestone Church at 3443 W. 12600 S. Riverton, Utah. Viewing will be from 10:00-11:00 AM.
