Larry E. Miles, 71, died Friday, June 9, 2017 in Chattanooga.

A lifetime resident of Rhea County, Larry served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. An avid fisherman, he loved the challenge and competition of fishing. He competed in and won numerous tournaments in different areas of the south. Larry also loved to help with needy families and children and loved playing pranks on his family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents George and Ruth Renfro Miles, sisters Patsy and Brenda and his brother Charles.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte Meadows Miles of Spring City, son Chris (Tina) Miles of Dayton, daughters Lisa (Tim) Gearrin of Spring City and Missi (Bryan) Freeman of Athens, TN, sister Donna (Jimmy) Smith of Dayton, grandchildren Tabitha, Adam, Cory, Brittany and Jacob and great grandchildren Savanna, Lucy, Adleigh and Arrow.

Memorial services are Monday June 12, 2017 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. David Daniels officiating. The family will receive friends there Monday from 4 to 7 PM.

Memorials can be made to the Needy Children’s Program, %Spring City Foursquare Church, 440 Piccadilly Ave., Spring City, TN 37381.
