Nancy Horner Obituary


Nancy Horner, 40, Bismarck, died Sept. 29, 2009. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Rev. John Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Bismarck.


There will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. today at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck.


Nancy was born May 15, 1969, in Bismarck, the daughter of Simon and Kathryn (Abbey) Bosch. She graduated from Bismarck High School in 1988 and the Medcenter One College of Nursing in 1996. Nancy married Richard Horner on Nov. 18, 2000. She was employed as a registered nurse and worked at St. Alexius Medical Center, Fargo Dakota Heartland Hospital, Medcenter One Hospital and most recently at Bismarck Surgical Associates. In May 2009, Nancy discontinued working due to her health problems; she suffered from severe Crohn's Disease and died due to complications of the illness.


Nancy loved life; being physically fit, shopping and fashion were her passions. Nancy had a love for angels and every room of her home was decorated with them. She was a very independent and determined woman.


Nancy came from a family of seven children and enjoyed growing up in such a fun and busy environment. There were many fond memories of all the years spent with all of her family. She recently celebrated her parents' 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 14, 2009, with all of her family. Nancy was a loving mother and very proud of her two sons, Corey and Hunter.


Nancy is survived by her children, Corey Bosch and Hunter Horner; her parents, Kathryn and Simon; her brothers and sisters, Susanne (Leon) Smith, Belfair, Wash., Linda (Tom) Harvey, Sturgis, S.D., David (Cheryl) Bosch, Allyn, Wash., Jane Bosch, Bismarck, Joe (Dawn) Bosch, Fergus Falls, Minn., and Lauren (Robin) Bosch, Bismarck; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Margaret and Clemens Bosch and Leone and Harold Abbey.
