Obituary:
Mrs. Karen Diane Swygert, 58, of Aiken, died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Heartland Hospice House, Augusta, Ga.

Services will be private and are under the direction of South Carolina Cremation & Burial Society. Interment in Graniteville Cemetery.

Born in Little Falls, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Arthur Charles and Ruthanna Saltsman Swartz. She loved working with kids and volunteering at the Library. Her prized possessions were her grandchildren.

Karen is survived by a daughter, Paula (George) Davis, Aiken; a son, Paul J. Swygert, II, Aiken; and three grandsons, Jamie Swygert, TC Davis and Dustin Swygert, all of Aiken.
