LOWELL- Adele V. (Zarzycki) Gendron, 89, died peacefully on October 27th at Wilmington Healthcare Center. She was the beloved wife of 45 years to the late Arthur A. Gendron who passed away in 2000.
Adele was born in Lowell, MA on December 23, 1923, a daughter of the late Joanna and John Zarzycki. She received her education in Lowell and was a graduate of Lowell High School class of 1941.
In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, for many years Adele was employed as a Assembler for Sylvania in Woburn.
Adele enjoyed dancing at the old Commodore Ballroom and at the Polish Picnics. She also loved playing bingo. Her greatest love was her 3 grandchildren.
She was a lifelong communicant of the Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Lowell and was also a member of the Catholic League of Women, as well as the Ladies of Czestochowa.
She is survived and will be sadly missed by her daughter Gail Cregg and her husband Kenneth of Lowell; her three grandchildren, Lindsay, Kyle and Kelsey Cregg, also of Lowell, and her sister Theresa Wertsbaugh of Pueblo, CO, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Florence Ferman, Jane Lovely, Catherine Bagdonas and Edward Zarzycki.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Ave, DRACUT. Her funeral will take place at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lowell MA.
