Merit D. Alexander, 91, retired farmer of Glenwood, died Monday in Lincoln Manor Nursing Home at Connersville where he had been a resident for the last month. He was born southwest of Connersville, the son of William L. and Ann M. Dailey Alexander, and in recent years had been residing with a sister, Mrs. Edith Harper, of Glenwood. Mr. Alexander was never married, and the sister is the only immediate survivor. Three brothers, Ernest, Honor and William Alexander, preceded him in death. The Rev. Arthur Helsley of Glen-wood will conduct services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Brown Funeral Home in Connersville, where friends may call. Burial will be in Lick Creek Cemetery.
