Shannon Lou Knowles, 54 of Craigsville, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 21, 1963 in Richwood, WV, a daughter of the late Carmel E. Sr. and Myrtle E. Selman Sanson.
She was a Christian by faith. A homemaker who loved to cook, write gospel music and sing.
She is survived by her husband, Joey Knowles; sons: Jonathon Robinson of Craigsville and Bradley Knowles of Colombus, Ohio. Siblings: Carmel Sanson Jr. of Summersville, Carol Smith of Craigsville, Howard Sanson of Craigsville, Allen Sanson of Cowen, Marilyn Keffer of Cowen, Rusty Sanson of Glade View, Monica Johns of Craigsville, Wavelene Ward of Craigsville and Wandalene Komorowski of Craigsville. Sister-in-law Freda Knowles Fleming of Nicholasville, Ky.
In addition to her parents, a brother, Perry Sanson preceded her in death.
Service will be 2:00pm, Monday, June 12, 2017 at Morris Funeral Home, Cowen, with Chaplain Jim Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Cowen.
