Friends are invited to calling hours from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday (Jan. 25) at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water Street, Dundee, NY. Honoring her wishes there will be no formal service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 5180, St. Louis, MO 63139-0180; or to the Dundee Fire Company Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee, NY 14837.
Denise was born September 15, 1972 in Livingston, NJ, a daughter of Robert T. and Ruth A. Ford. Moving to New York at the age of five, she graduated from Dundee Central School in 1990, having been a Basketball and Football Cheerleader, in Color Guard, and was a member of the track team. She went on to attend Herkimer Community College, before serving an Internship at Disney World in Florida. She loved Florida so much, she stayed there until returning to Rock Stream in 2015 due to her health. While in Florida, she worked primarily in the restaurant and food service industry. In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors, and anything to do with animals, especially horses.
She is loved and will be forever missed by her parents Robert and Ruth Ford, 2 brothers Tom J. Ford, and John M. Ford all of Rock Stream, 2 sisters Susan K. Ford of Big Flats, NY, and Cathy A. (David DiSanto) Ford of Troy, NY; a niece Ariana Ford; 3 nephews Nathan Ford, Gregory Mockler, and Ian Mockler; an uncle Vincent Schwartz; and a dear cousin Sandy Schwartz.
