Graveside services for James “Jimmy” Matthew Dickens, 62, of Winona, will be held on, Monday, June 12, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Noonday Cemetery with The Winona Mason Lodge officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Dickens passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 in Winona.He was born August 13, 1954 in Dallas to Robert Alton and Mary Darnell Dickens.

James was raised as Baptist and became a member of Masonic Lodge #118 on March 13, 1990. He graduated from Robert E Lee in 1972. James retired from Smith County Road department where he was a foreman and equipment operator for 31 years

James was preceded in death by his father, Robert; his mother, Mary; sister, Joyce, and brothers, Robert, Richard, and Thomas Dickens.

He is survived by his loving family including his wife of 19 years Mary Dickens of Winona; son, Trampas Dickens of Winona; daughters, Misty Dickens of Tyler, Laura and Scott Morris of Winona, Leeana Gutierrez of Oklahoma City, Crystal and Chris Darnell of Montana, sister Brenda Cox of Teague, many grandkids as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be Employees of Smith County Road and Bridge Department.

Visitation is scheduled from 2:00 - 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
